These massive yellow pylons started to appear on the dockside in Leith from February 2026. They are part of the Inch Cape wind farm project being installed off the Angus coast. As a water user, the visual landscape changes constantly and as an addition to the industrial architecture of the docklands, these have been fascinating to observe. Depending on the weather in any given hour, they can appear gargantuan, tiny, distant and near. This work will form part of the ECA technicians exhibition 2026.
